The sun beams through the curtains

The white curtains have spots of light 

orange from where the sun peeks through 

I peel back the curtains, and hold my head 

out the window to see 

Budding spring trees!

Slow to sprout, but sure to bloom

I think to myself,

All the plants are so busy growing! 

They are a lovely sight

after months of harsh winter 

I smile, and adore the pine tree 

outside my window

I thank it for being evergreen all throughout 

the winter

I notice the birds seem to sing more 

vivaciously towards this time in April

The powdery scent of magnolia blossoms 

from a tree nearby 

the dust rushes through my nose! 

I can't help but sneeze...my eyes start to 

water and swell, my nose starts to curl up 

like a cuddled up kitten and I can't help not to....ACHOOO!!!
